Manitoba
Manitoba is the heart of Canada, it is one of the three Prairie provinces, located in
the centre of Canada. Manitoba is one of the sunniest provinces in Canada. Its landscape
is 650 000 squarekilometer, its height lies between 150 and 300m above sea level. But
sometimes the heights rise to 700m or higher (Baldy Mountain, in Duck Mountain Provincial
Park with 831m). Manitoba is also known as the land of 100 000 lakes, because it has a lot
of quite lakes and rivers. The northern topography is heavily covered in forest, dominated
by pine, hemlock and birch.
Manitoba is a vast territory; the best of it still wild. There is room breathe, to stretch
your legs and your imagination to discover a time long past and a reason to hope again for
the future. It is also like a paradise for fishing, camping, wandering, walking and
relaxing.
Manitoba is a home to dozens of groups from all over the world, who have enriched the
economy, society and culture of the province. Manitoba is although one of the provinces
with smaller population, it is an important centre for a number of ethnic groups.
